Although I haven’t planned to visit Melbourne I do listen to my friends who all recommended to go there – so I did fly to Melbourne…

Glad I checked with Ruud, who I met on the scuba trip in Cairns on where he stayed so I ended up in St. Kilda a relaxed and nice area close to the beach in south Melbourne.

Found myself a nice Airbnb near the beach and my host Gabrielle with her daughter Ella have been very nice and accommodating. Got great restaurant and cultural recommendations from Gabrielle. Great seafood restaurant as well some art stuff going on in the centre. Had such a relaxed time there that I extended from 2 to 4 nights. Such a great host – had a lovely time…

Gabrielle also let me drive her bicycle so I had a pre training session for my upcoming NZ trip. Day trip south the beach to some cliffs.

No people around except 3 Italians, a lovely couple Claudia & Dario and Valentina who was visiting them. We started to talk, had some fish & chips (still not a fan of them) and I was invited over for dinner to their place. Just the Italian way….loved it. And again, meeting new lovely friends makes a journey so much more enjoyable & remarkable. Feeling blessed.

Here some more inspirations before I was heading off to Grampians National Park & Great Ocean Road with a Campervan for 6 days…stay tuned for more stories to share…
